Welcome to Clean LA with Me, where we unite volunteers to beautify Los Angeles neighborhoods.

Our mission is to engage volunteers in cleaning efforts across the city and to inspire people to take pride in their communities. When city services fall short of their responsibilities, people need to help out, especially in neglected communities.

Since November 2024, Juan has picked up trash all over Los Angeles. The blue pins on the map are his solo outings and the green pins are the volunteer meetups (mingas) he’s hosted.

We’ve collaborated with other many other cleanup groups and have partnered with local businesses. We believe that the common goal of a beautiful LA can be a uniting cause.

Founder

Born in Ecuador, Juan immigrated to the United States and eventually made his way to Los Angeles. It didn’t take long for him to notice one of the city’s most visible challenges—the amount of trash littering its streets and neighborhoods. Rather than simply complain about the problem, Juan decided to take action. What began as one person cleaning the streets has grown into a movement, inspiring fellow Angelenos to roll up their sleeves, take pride in their neighborhoods, and work together to create a cleaner, stronger Los Angeles.

What is Clean LA with Me?
